AQL MONTH IN REVIEW: A new American-Israeli war with Iran caps a month that saw Supreme Court pushback on tariffs, US-EU tensions, upheaval over social media, and another hit for mainstream journalism
Dan Perry is an intelligent man. But as we all know intelligence and emotional state of mind may not or ever mix. Dan Perry has a disability called Trump Derangement Syndrome. If readers haven't noticed by now, Mr. Perry has only negative comments regarding President Trump. Mr. Perry's intense hatred and anger guide his thoughts and conclusions. Perry's behavior is typical of an egotistical elitist. He is most certainly a legend in his own mind. Mr. Perry is not well liked in the US and could not exist as a credible journalist in the US as his thin veneer of hatred is all too obvious. Free speech is a great thing, and I am happy to express my thoughts here.
The US is a large country, and you cannot please everyone. Honestly, the only derangement I identify regarding Trump is on the part of supporters who do not see that even when tehre are good things to be praised, in the greater scheme of things there is something deeply, desperately wrong, in a manner quite unprecedented. But as you really care what I say and write, you might go through the archive (which would require a paid subscription) and find where I agreed with him on immigrantion, some aspects of wokeness, the Middle East in some cases, and even, can you believe it, voter ID.
I have no idea you the hell you want, but Dan is part of the handful of journalists who can still be trusted. This thing, Trump derangement syndrome... you obviously do not read what he writes and do not watch him on TV otherwise you will know he agrees enough times with decisions Trump makes. He doesn't like Trump and neither do I. We don't need to like people to agree or disagree with them. And this is the strength of a very good journalist and of a good human being in general. As for this dérangement syndrome, I assure you I have it. I am terribly... deranged and scared by Trump messing with politics in Eastern Europe where I live. He literally supported for presidential elections the same person Putin wants to put in power in my country. Romania that is. We waited 45 years to be liberated by the communism the Russians forced upon us, we spent 35 years rebuilding this country only to have the American president selling us to the Russians. So allow me to claim the dérangement syndrome for myself. And blaim Trump for it.
You people fight a battle in America against wokism. I understand it and I also oppose wokism. Just take a deep breath and understand that not all people who dislike Trump are woke.
Thanks for this excellent publication!
