“From the River to the Sea” is a phrase that means the eradication of the State of Israel! And this is what Hamas wants and the PLO silently wishes for! Abu Mazen cannot be trusted—he has been compromised!!
The arguments against “recognition” are so obvious and irrefutable that one has to wonder about the ability (or willingness) to think of those proposing it. There is no basis for thinking proposed recognition at this time is a bona fide attempt to advance peace.
Good points. And definitely, the removal of Hamas is critical. But how? Hasnt happened after nearly 2 years of this. And the highest immediate priority for Israel is freeing the hostages.
How can something that does not, in fact, exist be "recognized"? "Palestine" would be the only state ever to have come into existence AFTER it was "occupied".
It’s delusional to even think that a two state solution (TSS) is any possibility given the intentional geography of Israeli settlements ensuring that 740,000 and growing, Jewish Israelis now live over what was the Green Line.
There will never be a TSS without massive Israeli withdrawal and that will never happen.

Oh, I totally agree it's time to end the war. But in a framework that in no war rewards Hamas. I explained how: https://danperry.substack.com/p/time-to-end-the-gaza-war
